Tezlyn Figaro is the host of the weekly podcast "Straight Shot, No Chaser" on iHeartRadio's Black Effect Podcast Network. Tezlyn can also be seen sharing her independent, nonpartisan, Black-centered perspective as a political contributor on the nationally syndicated radio show The Breakfast Club and REVOLT Black News. She also frequently appears on The Hill, Fox News, MSNBC, The Grio, and more.
Tezlyn is also the Founder, instructional designer, and lead trainer for the "Push The Line" nonpartisan political training program. In 2022, Tezlyn was featured as the senior public policy consultant for Attorney Benjamin Crump in the award-winning documentary "Civil" on Netflix.
Tezlyn has led public policy strategy for high-profile clients of the Ben Crump Law Firm, including but not limited to: The George Floyd family, Monroe Bird, the assault victims of former Oklahoma City Police Officer Daniel Holtzclaw, the victims of the Flint water crisis, and the victims of the Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando, Florida. Her involvement has led to many states and cities duplicating her strategies, resulting in the immediate implementation of police reform public policy on the state and local levels of government.
In 2023, Tezlyn was the recipient of the "Champion of Change" award by the UCLA Black Law Students Association.
